Menghadapi El Nino yang berdampak pada degradasi tanah dan harga pupuk yang mahal, Kementerian Pertanian meluncurkan inovasi Bio char three in one (Biotron), Selasa (27/6/2023).

Korankalimantan.com – Biotron bertujuan mendukung ketahanan pangan nasional berbasis pertanian berkelanjutan dan mandiri. Karena Biotron dapat menghemat biaya dan mudah ditemukan bahan bakunya di lingkungan sekitar serta mudah diterapkan.

Menteri Pertanian, Syahrul Yasin Limpo mengatakan, dua persen dari 7 juta hektar tanah sudah mengalami degradasi.

”Kita sudah mengalami degradasi kualitas terutama di Jawa. Oleh karena itu untuk menyuburkan kembali salah satunya melalui pupuk organik yang mau atau tidak harus kita lakukan,” jelas Menteri Syahrul.

Untuk itu Kementerian Pertanian terus mengambil langkah-langkah yang cepat, salah satunya melalui Biocard 3 in 1 atau Biotron.

Sementara itu, Kepala Badan Penyuluhan dan Pengembangan SDM Pertanian (BPPSDMP), Dedi Nursyamsi mengatakan, tantangan pembangunan pertanian, climate change, degradasi lahan, saprodi terbatas, pupuk kimia mahal, produksi tidak efisien dan menurun.

”Biotron hadir sebagai solusi di saat pupuk kimia mahal, biotron berfungsi menyediakan oksigen, menyediakan air, menyediakan nutrisi, menyediakan rumah bagi mikroba penyubur tanah, memperbaiki struktur dan PH tanah, mengendalikan OPT dan meningkatkan hasil tanaman,” jelas Dedi.

Implementasi Biotron bertahap 6-7 ton per-tahun (3 musim), sehingga dalam 3 tahun tercapai dosis optimal 20 ton/ha dan mampu mengurangi pupuk kimia 40-50 persen.

”Pupuk subsidi 2023 ada sebanyak 9,01 juta ton Rp20,7 T sehingga penghematan pupuk subsidi Rp8,28 T sampai Rp10,35 T,” jelas Dedi.

Dedi menyampaikan untuk Peningkatan hasil padi di lahan rawa Dadahup, Kalteng yang sebelumnya 2,1 ton/ha menjadi 3,7 ton/ha.

”Biotron akan segera diimplementasikan di dalam program Genta Organik di seluruh pelosok tanah air,” tambah Dedi.

Kepala Balai Besar Pelatihan Pertanian (BBPP) Binuang Bambang Haryanto mengapresiasi dan akan menjalankan langkah yang sudah diambil Kementerian Pertanian dalam menangani El Nino dan harga pupuk yang mahal.

”Biotron di dalamnya ada biocard berperan penting dalam penyediaan oksigen di dalam penyediaan air dan sebagai tempat yang nyaman bagi mikroba penyubur tanah,” ujarnya.

Selain itu juga biocard dilengkapi dengan pupuk organik sebagai sumber nutrisi. Selain itu Biotron dilengkapi dengan agen hayati.

”Inovasi Biotron sangat efisien dan biaya murah untuk meningkatkan kesuburan tanah hingga produksi pertanian. Maka diharapkan pembuatan dan pemanfaatan Biotron secara mandiri,” tutupnya. (JK/AG/SB05)
